Noise reduction principle and technology of silent lock

In the fast-paced modern life, people's requirements for quality of life are getting higher and higher, and noise pollution has become an important factor affecting people's quality of life. In order to reduce the influence of environmental noise, various sound insulation and noise elimination products came into being. Among them, silent lock, as a new home decoration and practical tool, is favored by consumers because of its good noise reduction effect.

First, the working principle of mute lock

1. Sound insulation principle: the mute lock is filled with high-quality sealing material in the gap between the lock body and the door frame, which can effectively isolate the sound propagation path, thus achieving sound insulation effect.

2. Sound absorption principle: Sound absorption structures or materials are usually designed inside the silent lock. These special structures can absorb sound waves transmitted through the lock body, convert them into heat energy or other forms of energy and release them, thus reducing the noise decibel.

3. Vibration mitigation: Since most of the noise is generated by the vibration of objects and propagated by air, reducing the vibration source can also effectively control the noise. To this end, some high-end silent locks will install anti-shock washers and other components in the lock body to reduce the impact force when opening and closing the door and further reduce the noise.

Second, the main noise reduction technology

1. Sealing ring technology: This is one of the most basic and common silent treatment methods. The rubber sealing strip or sponge strip is arranged at the lock tongue to enhance the air tightness and water tightness in the closed state, and then the sound wave is blocked.

2. Magnetic attraction design: the lock is more stable and firm in the closed state by using the principle of magnet attraction, and the noise caused by collision can be greatly reduced.

3. Rubber buffer layer: This technology mainly sticks a layer of soft material with moderate thickness, such as EPDM (ethylene propylene copolymer), to a metal substrate to form a composite board. When external force acts, this material can play a good role in damping vibration and absorbing energy, thus avoiding the loud noise caused by direct hard contact.

4. Micro-motor drive system: Different from the traditional mechanical key rotation mode, the electric silent lock relies on the built-in small motor to drive the gear set to realize the opening and closing operation, and the whole process is smooth and almost silent.

5. Bionics concept: Some brands have developed a similar product-the "wing"-shaped elastic sheet structure, which can significantly improve the wind pressure resistance and sound insulation performance without adding extra weight.

Third, application scenarios and development trends

At present, various types and price grades of silent locks sold in the market are widely used in the renovation and upgrading projects of door and window systems in many fields, such as family homes, hotels, offices and office buildings, especially in the internal space of buildings located in special geographical locations such as traffic trunk roads, schools and hospitals. With the progress of science and technology and the increasing diversification of consumer demand, more novel and unique solutions may be applied in this field in the future.
